Most law firm websites look professional\u2014but quietly fail at SEO. Not because SEO is complicated, but because a handful of common mistakes keep search engines (and potential clients) from ever finding the site.<\/p>

Here are the biggest mistakes that I see over and over again.<\/p>

Trying to Rank for Everything on One Page<\/h2>

Many law firm home pages try to rank for every practice area, every city, and every service all at once.<\/p>

The result?<\/h3>

Google doesn\u2019t know what the page is actually about. Search engines are looking for that ONE keyword phrase to index your page. If there are too many topics, they give up.<\/p>

Example:<\/h4>

\u201cPersonal Injury, Divorce, Criminal Defense, Real Estate & Business Law in Miami, Orlando, Tampa & Fort Lauderdale\u201d<\/p>

That page won\u2019t rank well for any of these words.<\/p>

SEO isn\u2019t just about keywords\u2014it\u2019s about matching search intent.<\/p>
