How can lawyers get clients?

There is no shortage of people looking for exceptional legal services. The problem is that they need to find your firm before you can help them. Though many lawyers are discovered through word of mouth or personal referrals, it’s very common for potential clients to begin their search for an attorney online. A well-planned strategy for website marketing for attorneys will focus on tactics that drive more traffic to your site, creating more leads for you to nurture. Here, are some of the ways you can increase your website traffic and obtain more clients.

Basic principles of a good website

AIDA (an Italian opera) are the acronyms for the basic marketing principles that every attorney’s website should follow the principles:

  • Attention. Make the potential consumer aware of you firm by having something like a large banner of your legal team, office, courtroom. Something that gets their attention and lets them know right away that they are on an attorney’s legal website. Be sure to mention your name, location you serve.
  • Interest. Get the potential customers to be interested by mentioning the problems that you specialize in solving – Divorce, Criminal, Bankruptcy, Civil, etc.
  • Desire. Show case studies, testimonials, awards to prove your abilities to solve problems.
  • Action. After the potential client has read your page ask them to do something. Get a free consultation, make an appointment, contact you, email, sign up for a newsletter, etc.

who where what how when

Other elements that the home page should address are answers to these questions.

  • WHO – Who are you? State your name clearly. Don’t make people guess where they have landed. Mention your name right away.
  • WHERE – State where you are located or the area that you service – Fort Lauderdale, Broward County, South Florida, Florida, Nationwide
  • WHAT – Mention what you specialize in – Bankruptcy, Criminal, Divorce, DUI, Family, Traffic, etc.
  • HOW – Say how you solve problems – case studies, testimonials
  • WHEN – Call for action – learn more, get a free consultation, fill out a qualification form

CONCLUSIONS:

The truth is there are countless ways to improve website marketing for attorneys if you have the time and can get a little creative. Chances are you’re probably already focusing on some of these tactics. Why not choose 2 or 3 that you haven’t tried before and see what traction you can make in the coming weeks?
